Re: BAF increase for Japan to NZ shipments.
We have been notified by all shipping lines that we regularly use that due to significant global fuel price increases over the last quarter, our BAF rate will be subject to an increase from Q2 of this year.
Regrettably, we are not able to absorb this increase and as this is a direct cost incurred by Autohub, we have no option but to pass this on to you, the importer.
Our current BAF rate of $95.00 for standard vehicles (under 20m3) will be increasing by $45.00 to $140.00 with effect from vehicles shipped on or after the 1st of April 2022. This price change also takes into account significant increases in local transport charges due to rapidly increasing fuel prices.
For other vehicles that fall outside this size category, please contact our offices to confirm what BAF will be applicable to your vehicle.
