Greetings,

Autohub has been advised by our shipping lines that Japan Customs are taking a “stricter” stance on parts being shipped in vehicles.

From now, all parts/wheels for shipping in vehicles must meet the following criteria:

  • The part being shipped must be for the vehicle it is in.
  • Autohub Japan must be notified at the time of booking that there are parts in the vehicle and exactly what they are.
  • The shipping line will need to accept the vehicle with the parts declared.
  • Parts must be safely secured within the vehicle.
  • The Customs clearance for parts/wheels MUST be done at the same time as the vehicle.
  • The parts/wheels must be recorded on the Master bill of lading.
  • Claims for damage or loss of inner cargo will not be accepted as per our standard insurance terms and conditions.

Please note – failure to comply will likely see your parts/wheels removed and disposed of prior to loading in Japan. Please advise your Agent.

If you need any further information, please discuss this with your agent or contact us on customerservices@autohub.co.nz.

Kind regards,

Team Autohub
