Re: NZTA changes to vehicle Star Ratings and CCD rebates/penalties
As part of the NZTA review of vehicle “Star Ratings”, Safety data and Emissions data is now being combined to set the overall “Star Ratings” for vehicles.
This will likely be an ongoing process each year and result in some vehicles going from “Penalty to Credit” or “Credit to Penalty”
Here are the latest changes announced that will effect CCD Penalty/Credits at time of first registration
This is already in effect, so please review so you give your customer the correct information, and expect to pay a penalty for some vehicles now that you did not before when you register a sold vehicle.
